Meet Phoenix, a beautiful bay, 9 year old stallion. On 23rd November 2019, we received a picture of this sweetheart who was found abandoned in Mandya (120 km away from us). A day later, without a second thought, Phoenix came home. He was miserably malnourished; a walking skeleton when he arrived, completely blind in both eyes. He had an issue with his LH limb, which he would keep holding up while standing. Our vet says it could have be a problem with his hip bone, femur or even tibia.
Fast forward a year and he is unrecognisable. From being extremely weak, spending all his time laying down (also to rest his leg) and then needing help/support to get back up again, he is now perfect.
He desperately needed a steady diet, good fodder, dental work and a bucket of love. Which of course, he got in abundance. He is now more beautiful than you could possibly imagine.
